Tooling's expensive. That's why we use Streamline to get it right the first time. Streamline is our online design collaboration tool that allows everyone -- our U.S. design team, Hangzhou development team and Shercon customers -- to collaborate in real time.

With Streamline, everyone sees the approved product design requirements. Everyone sees the most current tool design. And everyone -- including our QA and Production teams -- can comment on the design by simply marking it up online.

Once approved (everyone can see that too), Streamline facilitates the next step -- tool development.

1. The tool concept is developed by a U.S. Engineer in compliance with U.S. design and fabrication standards
2. The APQP Team reviews the final tool design concept
3. The tool design team at Shercon Hangzhou develops full CAD drawings -- which are also loaded into Streamline for viewing and approval
4. U.S. staff choose an approved tool maker based on job complexity and volume
5. A U.S. team travels to the tool vendor site to fully validate the tool, including functional testing and full cavity dimensional inspection.
6. The tool is shipped to Shercon Hangzhou; the process engineering team develop optimum production parameters for the tools and prepare Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) samples.
7. The QA department issues the part work instructions, and inspect the tool again before acceptance

With Streamline, project management remains with the U.S. team at all times, and order status is immediately available to our customers.
